Rad Reading-October

For the month of October, I read signs of survival by Renee Hartman and Joshua M. Greene. While Bratislava is being searched for Jews by german solders, two sisters, one def and one can hear. Renee and Herta are trying to hide with their parents in a small apartment. When they later go to a farm to hide, their parents leave suddenly one night. Afterwords they leave the farm because their parents weren’t paying rent. The parents later go missing. Renee and Herta turn themselves into a camp to find their parents. I liked this book because, it shows a point of view of the holocaust and it makes it seem like you’re actually there, with all the adjectives it uses. My favorite character is Herta because she’s very caring. Im very caring myself which is why I can relate to her. As well as being an older sister. She can be caring by what she says here, “I turned around, and Renee was gone, I panicked looking around and getting out of line to look for her. I screamed her name, even if she was def, but she could maybe suddenly hear me. I saw her walking towards the gate and the solider. I ran up to her but my hands were full with the blankets, so I had to bite her on her cheek”. This quote from her can very much show how she can do anything to take care of family. My favorite quote from the book is,”We’re free, We’re free!’ She signed to me. I signed back, ‘We’re free!?’”. I like this quote because it shows how exited and happy these two characters are with just in their sign language.

The Famous Person I’d Like trade places for a Day

If I could trade places with a famous person for a day, it would be Zendaya. Zendaya is an actress and a big idol of mine, it’s always exiting to me when I see her in a movie. She has been in movies like, Spider-Man, Dune, and KC Undercover. I also want to be an actress, so it would be nice seeing life like that. She has been reportedly seen as a very nice and funny person. Which is another reason I want to trade places with her, because I can relate to her so much. Now, she has a significant other, but she is a very independent person. One last reason I’d like to trade places with her, is she can model for different expensive brands. These are reasons why I’d like to trade places with Zendaya for a day.

My Ideal Perfect Day

If I had a chance to live out a perfect day for me, I would. First off, it would be a Saturday, because Saturday’s are my favorite days. I would have a breakfast of pumpkin pancakes. Then, I would get dressed in anything that would keep me warm,(the perfect weather for me is freezing cold by the way). I like to go to lots of places, but my favorite place would be Downtown Disney. It’s not very hectic, and crowded with people that much. It also has very cozy restaurants, such as, Jazz kitchen. I would eat pulled pork sliders with orange cream soda, because it’s my favorite meal. Then I would walk around and stretch my legs after the meal. Me and my dad like to go to the lego store there and possibly buy something. I like to go through the California Hotel, because it’s relaxing and quiet. It’s also beautiful inside the hotel and has activities for kids. Soon after we get out from the hotel, I would like to get a drink from Starbucks. I get a matcha latte, and my dad likes to get the lemon loaf. Then as always, we both go to the Disney store. We would look around for a while, and then leave. It would be about 4:00. When I get home my parent would start thinking of what we will have for dinner. Id much prefer Costco pizza. For the rest of the day I would be free building legos with my family. After I’m done, I would get to stay up as long as I could, because it’s Saturday. So I would spend time watching a movie. That’s the most perfect day for me!

What Age I Would Want to be Forever

If I could be an age forever, it would be thirteen. I’ve heard many thirteen year olds talk about how they had many experiences while they were thirteen. Such as, going to concerts, finding out their interest, fun vacations, and many other things they would have a once in a life time with. Speaking of life times, thirteen is the age just before Your Adulting ages, and I don’t like being seen as an adult. Another reason I’d like to be thirteen forever, is because other thirteen year olds I meet are less problematic. They don’t start rumors as much anymore, and don’t really become annoying people as they were before. Also a lot of people tell I look like my age, and I even like how I look for my age, so, why not be this age forever!

My Birthday in a Few Days

My birthday is coming very soon, and I’m very exited for it. Im going to celebrate with my family. I even share the same birthday with my mom! So we will be opening gifts together, and have pie for each other as well. But only a few days later I will be going to Disney Land with one person from my family as a birthday gift from my parents. Im super exited for that as well, and thankful for my parent for letting my go there. I’ve been thinking of my birthday wish, but I know I want to wish something reasonable. I recently found out the wish only comes true if the child blow all of the candles in one go. Lucky for me I only get two candles :). Anyway, I can’t wait till my birthday comes around, and Im for sure having fun at Disney too.

Rad Reading-September

The book that i read this month is called, The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. This book is about a girl named Nora seed, and she’s not happy with her life at the moment. She then ends up in a library called, The Midnight Library. Where the librarian is an old lady named Mrs, Elm. Mrs, Elm, is someone Nora knows from her root life. (Root Life) is her original life by the way. Anyway, Mrs.Elm and the midnight library are there to help her find a better life than the one she has. Every book in the library is a life, that could have happened if Nora had token a different rout in life. But the real problem is that she can’t end up choosing a life she’s happy with, and if she isn’t happy with one she goes back to the library. I have not finished the book but I am on page 198. Where Nora has chosen another book to see if this one will be right for her. As she’s done with other ones earlier in the book. What I loved about this book so far is that, it really makes you think and makes you appreciate more of life. It Gives off a mystery with Nora trying to find a life right for her. My favorite character from the book would be Mrs, Elm. A character trait for her would be, reflective. “Life is always an act”Mrs Elm would say in the book. she always knows what to say to give Nora advise, and to understand something she’s never thought about. A favorite line of mine that I found in the book is “Never underestimate the big importance of small things”. I like this line because it explains that you have to be thankful for the small things in life, and shouldn’t look at the bad things in life. I think anyone can like this book.

Rad Reading-September

The book that i have reading this month is called The Midnight Library. This story is about a girl named Nora Seed, that’s not happy with her life right now and almost regrets everything that came to her in life that she denied. She then appears in a library were a lady, that she knew from here root life, named mrs, Elm. Her (Root Life) is her original life. Anyway, this library with mrs, Elm, is going to help her find a better life than this one. She goes through different lives she could’ve had, if shed had chosen a different route. These lives can be almost anywhere in the world, and if she doesn’t end up happy with that life, she transports back to the library. I haven’t finished the book, but i am on page 152. I did leave off were she just left a life that she was in Antarctica, And had met a man that was also going through different lives of his own. This book has been amazing so far, and I think most people should read this book. Happy reading!
