The Twenty-Four Hours of Invisibility

If I was invisible four twenty-four hours, my day would be endless amounts of fun. First, without telling my parents, I would probably get out of the house because I wouldn’t spend the whole day inside my house. I would next get breakfast for free at any good restaurant. After eating I would get a ride on a bus to Anaheim to spend a free day at the Disneyland parks. Because of my invisibility I would most likely get free food, and any merchandise my own money cant buy. After those hours I would walk right on into the California hotel in Anaheim. I would try to ask someone to book me a room with my own money, but if that doesn’t work I would just get a room by myself. Of course I would spend my last hours of the day in the room, no!, I would go to any of the restaurants inside the hotel to get whatever I want. After that I would call my mom or dad on one of the telephones to tell them I was alright. I would also say that I wouldn’t be back home until tomorrow. In the last few hours I would just go back to my hotel room and sleep it off until the next day.

My Abandoned Island

Life on an abandoned island is perfectly fine. I washed up only a couple days ago but it has felt like a couple years. I got to this island after surviving a boat crash and washed up to shore a day later. The first thing I did when I got here was to find food, luckily I found some fruits that I can’t identify that fell from the palm trees. My clothes were still fine from the crash but I do use some large leaves to trap my body heat and keep me warm. Starting a fire was the hardest part of all in the beginning. I first thought rubbing two sticks together was the way to do it, but Instead I started scratching two rocks together and that worked in an instant! My life right now on this abandoned island is perfectly fine.

Rad Reading-January

The book I read this month was The Bond of Friendship by Hans Christian Andersen. The story starts with the back story of two men that were great friends. They soon grow older and both start families in different countries. When one of the men’s boys, (which the name is never mentioned), is about 14, the boys father brings a very important little girl home. Before the boy knew who she was, he and the little girl that his father brought, form an amazing friendship. Later it turns out that the boy’s father’s friend had died and gave his daughter to his family. That daughter was the little girl. This would explain the bonding relationship the boy and girl have. A couple months later robbers try to steel the family, and the loss of the father saddens the characters. The next day the whole family wakes up in prison, it is never said why, but soon they get let out. The rest of the story is the family going on an adventure down the mountain back home encountering other places and characters, and the boy and girl’s friendship growing. I really liked this book because it gave elements of adventure, bonding relationships, and real life occurrences. My favorite charecter is The Boy because he likes to show he’s interested in many things like stories, such as in this quote. “It all sounded wonderfull like a priestly legend, and I looked at him with a kind of awe. ‘How much do you know!’ I said, ‘How well can you tell?”. My favorite quote from the book is, “What reward is there for these hardships? The greatest! The richest! Nature reveals herself here in all her glory; every spot is history; eye and mind alike are delighted. The poet can sing of it, the painter portray it in splendid pictures; but neither can reproduce the air of reality that sinks deep into the soul of the spectator, and remains there.” The quote is meaningful to me because it shows that pictures or writing can’t just tell the amazing site in life than being in life. Happy reading!

Why She’s My Friend

The cafe wasn’t busy as it usually was, but the streets were crowed outside. I had been friends with Joleen since Last year and I really felt she was the best friend I had. Being the only two girls that only spoke our minds out to each other gave us a bonding relationship. We were both sitting on the heigh chairs and tables in the lounge. We both brought our ipads to pass the time, we also brought books. Joleen closed her iPad and picked up her book, wich was strange because I remembered her saying she hated that book. As I was watching her read In confusion, I realized her eyes weren’t moving. That showed me she wasn’t reading, she was just in a deep thought. As I started listening if our order was ready, I started to hear a man a seat in front of us talking in a rather strong language that I should not say. I listened to the whole conversation with in three Minutes. When the man stopped talking Joleen closed her book, then it hit me. Joleen was just eves-dropping. I guess that was another reason she was my friend, we would listen to others conventions just to have something exiting to hear about, because no one at our school was as exiting, but we would never spread the word. “Amy.” she whispered to me. “I can’t believe he Said that about his dad!” She laughed. I laughed too, I guess she knew I was listening in too. But other than all those reasons of us being good friends, I forgot the most important one, us caring for each other. I think what most people forget about being friends with someone is that you would do anything for them to not get hurt or in trouble. Starting rumors or saying bad things about them isn’t really being a friend to someone. At that moment I was grateful to have her as a friend.
