What My Job Would Be

If I could have any job in the world, it would be an actress. Theater and acting has always been an interest of mine since I was little. I would really love to be in the spotlight of a movie and even just short film. I like to act out stories that may or may not be true for entertainment purposes, also for making a personal goal of mine. Acting along with many other stars of Hollywood would be exiting for me as well. And possibly achieving an academy award for my performances would be a dream.

Rad Reading-February

This month I began reading Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer. I haven’t finished reading this book yet but Im on page:50. This book is about a teenage girls that is already struggling at school with two friends that have separated, but both are still friends with her. Although she does have friends on her swim team she hangs out with. Until a meteor strikes the moon and begin coming closer to earth. Earthquakes, floods that kill and volcanic eruptions that are high then clouds begin to happen soon after. Now Miranda is trying to survive with her loving mom, little broth named johnny, and older brother named Matt in a little house with food and clothes to last them a whole two years. I really like this book because it shows a near “end of the world” experience if it were to happen. It also shows what us humans have to be thankful for to have and what we do need to live. My favorite charecter in this book is Miranda, she’s very mindful and elliteral in this story, her traits really stuck out to me in this quote. “Vitamins,” Mom said. “Get lots and lots of vitamins. And Laxitives. Calcium. Vitamin D. This is so hard , trying to remember everything we might need.” “Or might not,” I said “Mom, I love you but I think this is crazy.” After her mom going a little crazy over buying everything. Miranda try’s to calm her mother down in the way she does. My favorite quote from the book is, “she doesn’t understand,” Megan said. “She’s a good woman, really she is, but she lacks my faith. I pray for her soul, just the way I do for yours.” “Megan,” I said, like I was trying to grab the friend I’d loved for years and bring her back to reality. “There are no more hot lunches. Half the time theres no electricity. I live five miles from school and gas cost nine dollars a gallon and we cant use the pool anymore.” I like this quote because It really relates to me. I, myself know a few people that don’t live like life happens once, and don’t take risks or do fun things time to time, sometimes I wish I could tell them off like Miranda did here.
